UKI've suffered from an allergy since the 1980s. The doctor didn't know if it was hayfever or a dust mite allergy or both, since I had it all year round. The antihistamine he gave me left me drowsy and just didn't solve the problem. It was embarrassing having to escape to the nearest bathroom so often to bring up phlegm. Last November I caught a bug, and then a cold, which exasperated the allergy and led to breathing difficulties. Since then, I haven't been able to take a deep breath, and I felt clogged all the time.
Then I found www.thesaltpipe.co.uk and began reading about the saltpipe. I didn't think it would work for me. If the doctor couldn't help, I thought a little pipe with salt crystals was not very likely to. But I decided to give it a go anyway.
As soon as it arrived, I started using it. I used it for 20 minutes the first day and the constant coughing stopped! I only had mucous a couple of times. I thought maybe it was a fluke, but next day I used it for around 40 mins -- no coughing! The phlegm was so loose it came up easily, and I didn't feel clogged any more.
